Week 4 Client Communication

Unfortunately I had to work on the Monday when our client communication meetings were planned. We managed to work around this and Sydney attended the meeting between the communicators before Melanie, Sophie and Shelby went off to meet with Abbey.
I caught up with Melanie, Sophie, Shelby and Claudia (who also hadn't been able to make the meeting) this afternoon to have a debrief on how the meeting with Abbey went and to discuss where to from here.
The discussion of one group having 2 people attending client communication had come up on Monday and had left everyone feeling a bit tense. Shelby and Sophie are a part of the same team and although Sophie is their nominated communicator Shelby attends the meetings also. Our group was just concerned that this was a little unfair to the other groups who may have also had other people wishing to participate in this role but having raised this concern only caused defensive actions so it is best left alone. Shelby will continue to attend the meetings as she has attended both so far and has been reliable when some of us can't make it.
The actual client meeting went apparently quite well. The girls raised the issue of people's perceptions of Abbey and Courtney as too perfect and whilst Abbey didn't seem surprised by this it was great to see her post to Instagram/Facebook responding to this. Abbey was also a little reserved in terms of not wanting to share her personal story of involvement with Body Love which we all respect. She did suggest that a meet up between the entire super group with her and Courtney may be really beneficial. We all really like this idea but want to hold off until after our first presentation of ideas as we feel that getting genuine perceptions of the brand from those who don't personally know Courtney and Abbey are really valuable as once you know the girls you cannot help but believe them and see how genuine they are.
We also discussed the lack of education around well-being, and how this is covers mental as well as physical health.
Lastly we discussed the perceptual map that had been drawn and how Motivate Me is their closest competition, but also the company run by their mentor Makaia Carr. Somehow they need to differentiate themselves otherwise it seems like they've just created a duplicate.

We have organised a super group meeting for 11am tomorrow to share with the girls how the meeting went and discuss any more questions they might have.
