Class Week 5 (More SPP Text)

The Client’s Need/Issue

Courtney Durr and Abbey Palmer created Body Love NZ with the goal to improve the way women feel about their bodies. They believe that when women feel negatively about their bodies it affects the way they participate in society. By encouraging women to love and accept themselves, they hope to improve personal relationships, productivity and leadership in the workplace, mental health, physical health, and overall well-being.

Their Challenge To Us:
How can design help us to inspire New Zealand women to love the skin they’re in?


Thought Leadership/Response

Body Love NZ came to us fresh faced, and ready to take on the world. Their mission; teach women to celebrate their bodies and love themselves to their inner core. To do this, they had ideas of a website, a product, and other physical goods. What we surmised however was that before they go into the intricacies and finer details of their offering, they need to be more present and visible to their target market. Promotion was one of the weaknesses we identified within Body Love NZ and is where we intend to focus this project.
