Because we were intending to test these prototypes out on Cuba Street we needed to run it by Courtney and Abbey as we didn't want to put anything out there that had their Body Love NZ name on it if they weren't happy for us to so as the client communicator for our group I flicked them an email. Here's the trail:
Result being that they would like us to not use their brand, which we totally understand.

Prototype Progress
Excitingly, we noticed people posting about the compliment/inspire tree on social media. This was a great result as in our proposal for our marketing campaign we have a social media element.

Group Meeting & Class Week 9
'Apple' Prototype Progress
Our 'apple' installation in the girls bathroom on level D of Block 12 was well received and kept on growing throughout the day today. When using the bathroom ourselves we often overheard people talking about what a good idea it was and how they were going to add something etc. Unfortunately the same installation but one level up in the E floor bathroom did not receive the same love. When we popped in to check on it on Wednesday morning the apple shape had been rubbed off, the post-it notes that were stuck on the mirror removed, and the blank post-it notes and pens taken from the bathroom. We are not sure why someone would do this but we can only think it was one of the fourth years as they have dominion over that level and surely if it was the cleaners they would have removed the note from the mirror as well and also removed the installation in the other bathroom. This was a shame but our at least one of the installations has been working like we hoped it would so we aren't too discouraged.

Notes From Chat With Stella
Dossier: This is THE doc that's getting marked so needs everything - but edit and modify old content to only show what's relevant to the project now
Presentations: Discuss with supergroup how to be more hospitable to the clients for final presentations - Buy water bottles, snacks etc

Client Communicator Meeting
Today we met up with Courtney and Abbey just to touch base for the last time before presentation in a little over 2 weeks time.
The points I took from today were:
I showed them a photo of the installation we were trialling in the bathrooms at uni and they really liked it. They understood that we had decided to move on from the stickers as we felt we couldn't push them much further.
Other than that there wasn't much to discuss and we all just enjoyed chatting about getting together as a super group after final hand in.
The points I took from today were:
- Sprinkle kindness everywhere because by giving it you don't have any less
- Appreciate other women's beauty without questioning your own
- Your comments effect the environment of others so keep things positive to keep it circulating

Prototyping 'Apple' Installation
Today we set up a prototype to user test our idea for our third aspect of our promotional installations campaign. We drew an apple outline on the mirrors in both female bathrooms on Levels D and E of Block 12 (in whiteboard marker) and stuck a note next to it that prompted girls to leave a message sharing something they loved about themselves or something they wish other girls would appreciate about themselves. We also provided a pen and some post-it notes.
We wanted to prototype this idea to see whether it is actually something people would be willing to do. We chose to prototype in the girl's bathroom because we feel like it is hard to get people to interact with prototypes in the work spaces of Block 12 as often people are not sure whether it is something they are allowed to do/if it is really a prototype or actually someone's work/because the walls are filled with work all the time people are less likely to take notice of new things. By using the mirror in the bathroom we are hoping more people will see the prototype, have time to read it as they wash their hands, and also feel more comfortable sharing something that they may feel shy or insecure about because the bathroom is a more private space.
We wrote a couple of notes of our own to get the ball rolling and inspire other girls to share.

Class Week 8 Refining Ideas
More Guerrilla Marketing Research:
Vinyl Stickers: We are worried that these stickers might be too expensive for our client and also that they might run into some issues with the council and other businesses with where we suggest they place the stickers around the city to suit the quotes. We also feel like we've already mocked these up to a good standard and there's not much room for further iterations - that it's not pushing ourselves enough.
We are going to focus on using our three user personae (seed, blossom, apple) to create a guerrilla marketing experience journey on the city streets.
