Pilot Testing

The Apple:

This was the pilot test we set up in the Old Bank toilets. It had only been up for just over half an hour when Sydney went to check it and found that it had been completely taken down. Everything; pens, post-it notes, sign, had been taken away.

At one point during the day, Bex went into the Library bathroom to check on our remaining pilot and found that someone had taken the six post-it notes that had been on the mirror off and thrown them into the bin. We're not sure why someone would do this, and the rest of the installation was undisturbed, so we left the apple up and it once again got filled with notes.

The Blossoms On Cuba St:

Notes of things we heard/observed

We thought the sign needed to be bigger and maybe on the footpath so that people noticed it more as they were often looking at their phones or talking to their friends.

We took photos of a few people taking the blossoms and then went up to them afterwards and asked them what they thought of the installation, if we were allowed to use their photograph in our project, and if we could get another picture of them next to the blossom tree.

This is another tree (in the square outside the Library and the City Gallery) that we thought could potentially be used for the Blossom installation.
